Şugău Cave Adventure

Caving is about the same age as humanity. Even prehistoric man visited the caves, though he did not want to explore them, or admire the beauty of the underground world, but used them as a rudimentary shelter.
The most popular and visited cave in the area is full of interesting formations. You can enjoy an adventure that is not an everyday experience, you can admire those beauties of the underground world that are not exposed to sunlight and can only be seen by the braver ones. Not only do we visit a section open to tourists, we venture further where we have to crawl in the ducts.
The Sugo (Whispering) Cave with its total length of 1021 m is one of the most significant caves in the Eastern Carpathians. It is most famous for its stalactites and pea stones, although it is much more characterized by its narrow corridors and culverts, which open into small rooms where a fairytale world awaits us. Here you can admire various glittering calcite and aragonite crystals and helicites. The fabulous stalactites and special shapes have been waiting for visitors in unchanged form for thousands of years, and with a little luck we can also get an insight into the everyday life of the mysterious animals of the night, the bats.
