Our promises to you 
We aim to be fair, reasonable and sympathetic in all our dealings with clients, and to act always with integrity. We will meet all our legal and regulatory responsibilities, often going beyond the minimum obligations. We aim to provide full and accurate information
about our holidays. If there are changes, we will tell you promptly. If something does go wrong, we will try to put it right. Our overriding aim is to ensure that every client is satisfied with our services.

Specific terms
Our contract with you. From the time we receive your signed booking form and initial payment, a contract exists between you and Carpathian Escapes Ltd.
Eligibility. All reservations are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking without necessarily giving a reason. You need to have a level of fitness which would not spoil other participants’ enjoyment of the holiday by slowing them down. By signing the booking form you are stating that you have met these fitness requirements. If during the tour it transpires you are not able to cope adequately, you may be asked to opt out of certain visits, or be invited to leave the tour altogether. This would be at your own expense.
Price. The contract price is stated on the invoice and includes the effective cost of the tourism services and agency fees. The advance payment is minimum 25% of the total price. The remaining 75% will be paid at least 20 days before the holiday start date. In the event that Carpathian Escapes has not received the agreed amount from the Tourist, the Tourist cannot use the respective tourism services. Payments for contracted services shall be made in Euro.
If you cancel. If you have to cancel your participation on a tour, there would be a charge which varies according to the period of notice
you give. Up to 46 days before the tour the deposit only is forfeited. Thereafter a percentage of the total cost of the tour will be due:
     between 45 and 26 days: 25%
     between 25 and 15 days: 50%
     between 14 days and 3 days: 75%
     within 48 hours: 100%
If you cancel your booking in a double or twin room or cabin but are travelling with a companion who chooses to continue to participate on the tour, the companion will be liable to pay the stipulated single supplement. We take as the day of cancellation that on which we receive written confirmation of cancellation.
If we cancel the tour. We might decide to cancel a tour if at any time up to eight weeks before there were insufficient bookings for it to be viable. We would refund everything you had paid to us. 
The limits of our liabilities.
As principal, we accept responsibility for all ingredients of a tour, except those in which the principle of force majeure prevails or where Carpathian Escapes acts as an agent for third party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies and others (hereinafter referred to as “Tourism Service Provider”). Carpathian Escapes will not be held liable for the products and services offered by tourism service providers and does not guarantee the accuracy or quality of the products and services featured on its materials.
If we make changes. Circumstances might arise which prevent us from operating a tour exactly as advertised. We would try to devise a satisfactory alternative, but if the change represents a significant loss to the tour we would offer compensation. If you decide to cancel because the alternative we offer is not acceptable we would give a full refund.
Romanian Law. These conditions form part of your contract with Carpathian Escapes Ltd and are governed by Romanian law. All proceedings shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
Financial protection. We provide full financial protection for our package holidays by way of our Romanian Travel Organiser’s Licence number 7421 through our insurance for the reimbursement of repatriation expenses and/or the amounts paid by the tourist in case of insolvency or bankruptcy of the Agency, by the Insurance Reinsurance Agency Omniasig Vienna Insurance located in Bucharest, Aleea Alexandru street, no. 51, sector 1, phone no. +40 214 057 420, fax no. +40 213 114 490, by insurance no. I 26266 of 15/07/2016, effective until 14/07/2017.
Documents. The following documents are considered an integral part of this contract, as annexes: the voucher / ticket / booking order/ addendum to the contract, if applicable and the travel program (for groups).
Final provisions. The hereby conditions represents the entire agreement of the signatory parties. and may be concluded as a distance contract, by fax, the parties accepting the authority of this agreement in its current form. The sale of tourist service packages will be made in accordance with the hereby agreement and in compliance with the provisions of Government Ordinance no. 107/1999 on the marketing of travel packages, approved with amendments and completions by Law no. 631/2001, Order no. 516/2005 of 12/04/2005 published in the Official Gazette, Part I no. 334 of 20/04/2005 with subsequent amendments.
The hereby contract may be presented as a catalog, brochure or any other type of document, provided the tourist is informed thereon and the document contains the information required by art. 10 paragraph (2) of G.O. 107/1999, approved with amendments and completions by Law no. 631/2001, Order no. 516/2005 of 12/04/2005 published in the Official Gazette, Part I no. 334 of 20/04/2005 with subsequent amendments.
